What does Stephen do, exactly?

I have recently been made aware that there is some confusion out there on what Stephen does during the day. 9 months out of the year, this is what his day looks like:
  • He drives to a field, gets on a tractor and either plants something or picks something
  • He fixes anything that has broken- tractor, truck, equiptment
  • He makes decisions as to what needs to be sprayed, watered, picked
  • He goes on line to check prices/research/programs that will affect what we grow
  • He spends hours in the hot sun
  • He spends hours on his air conditioned tractor
  • He spends hours listening to NPR
  • He comes home tired and hungry and very dirty
  • He LOVES turning the dirt on his own land
In short, Stephen is a farmer and he actually does all the work. We don't have anyone that works for us, other than our family, who we allow to do the important work. He doesn't "oversee" the operation- he is the operation. Along with his Dad, uncle, cousin... they are Fulford Family Farms.

Just thought I'd clear that up for anyone who was wondering ----
